Prior to getting into that breakdown, it is important to mention that players that purchase a Something Extraordinary Ticket must open the Pokemon GO app between Saturday, December 10 at 10am and Sunday, December 11 at 8pm local time. Indeed, this is a requirement for unlocking the Special Research story, and while fans need not complete it during that timeframe, they should make absolutely sure that they have received the first set of tasks before the weekend comes to an end.

While the tasks that are featured in the Something Extraordinary Special Research are quite diverse, none of them are particularly difficult to complete. Players may still want to try to work through this Special Research before PoGO’s Mythic Blade event concludes, though, as doing so will make it easier to address the tasks that focus on Fighting-type Pokemon. It is also worth mentioning that the first task in Step 2 is referring to the Team Leaders that can be fought through the Battle menu, not the Team GO Rocket leaders.

With respect to the rewards, the encounter with Keldeo in Pokemon GO that is awarded at the end of Step 5 is undoubtedly the most exciting of the prizes. The Rare Candy, Super Incubators, Silver Pinap Berries, and other Pokemon encounters are also nice rewards, even if they pale in comparison to that Mythical Pokemon. That said, some players may feel that these rewards simply do not justify the price of admission, and they may ultimately decide to skip purchasing the Something Extraordinary Ticket altogether.
