The biggest bit of information is the addition of a few Shinies. First up on October 1, shiny Krabby and its evolved form Kingler will be available. They can be obtained through a new Field Research quest and in the wild. As expected, Reversal also confirmed the addition of shiny Metagross, Beldum, and Metang, for October Community Day, which should excite many players. Check out shiny Krabby and Kingler below:

Reversal also revealed that there would be a new Spinda form also coming to the game on the same date as Shiny Krabby and Kingler. This Pokemon is usually available from Throw 3 Curveball quests, so players should keep an eye out for this new alternative form.

Considering October’s Research Breakthrough Reward is the legendary Water-type Suicune, these new shiny Water-types are thematically fitting. As part of this field research, more additions will likely come to the mobile ARG, as well as any other curve balls Niantic throws its players. In other words, October is shaping up to be a great month for Pokemon GO.

After all, not only do players get chances at the aforementioned Pokemon, Community Day, and rumored Gen 4 releases for October, but also players will be able to add the legendary Psychic-type  Mewtwo to their rosters this month. As more Pokemon GO news develops, be sure to check back here. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
