Shadow Pokemon are encountered after a battle with Team GO Rocket and players have the chance to purify them after catching. Purified Pokemon have the chance to become very powerful, so it’s always exciting when a new rotation of shadow creatures ends up becoming available in Pokemon GO.

The new roundup of shadow Pokemon have been confirmed by many players and no new reports seem to be coming in. These will likely be the main five creatures available through Grunt, Team Rocket Leader, and Giovanni battles until March rolls around…
New Shadow Pokemon Available
Pinsir
Beldum
Mawile
Bellsprout
Raikou
Aside from Raikou in the powerful Legendary slot, there are no real heavy hitters here. This means that the current batch won’t have anything major to offer PvE fans, but there is still some potential to pick up a handful of new resources for Trainer Battle/PvP rosters. Players will want to collect all of these to keep their options open as they work through the pre-season and season one of Battle League.
For now, players may want to keep hunting down the best Unova Pokemon in the game if improving their Battle Raid rosters is their primary goal. Be sure to check back in the near future for more Pokemon GO strategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
Pokemon GO is available now in select regions on Android and iOS devices.
