To note, while the first part of PoGO’s Halloween Event 2022 is set to conclude on October 27, players have until Tuesday, November 1 at 10am local time to claim Mysterious Masks. Players are advised to initiate and work on this Special Research sooner rather than later, though, as its tasks will be much easier to complete while the event is underway. This is primarily due to the fact that Ghost-type Pokemon will be appearing more frequently for Halloween, and those play a big role in Mysterious Masks.

As was previously alluded to, many of the tasks in the Mysterious Masks Special Research require players to engage with Ghost-type Pokemon, and fans will need to catch 120 of them before everything is said and done. While that is not a particularly difficult thing to do during the Halloween Event, the endeavor will become much more time-consuming when the spawn rates for Ghost-type Pokemon in PoGO return to normal.

One final thing to mention is that the number 49 is a recurring theme in Mysterious Masks’ tasks and rewards. This number is significant because Galarian Yamask must take at least 49 damage before it can be evolved in Pokemon Sword and Shield. While this fact does not affect the Special Research, beyond informing the quantities that appear in its tasks and rewards, it is one that some Pokemon GO players may find interesting.
