Each Mega Pokemon has its own unique strengths and weaknesses based on its type, so it’s important for Pokemon GO trainers to study up before entering any fights. With a Pokemon like Mega Banette, that is going to mean building a solid counter roster of high IV pokemon that exploit its weaknesses to Dark and Ghost move sets.

Mega Banette battles aren’t the most difficult Battle Raid, but they should still be taken seriously. Players with optimal counter rosters should be able to take the boss down with about four allies, but entering with a few extra friends is a good idea if any players are lacking a solid counter roster. Trainers who want to ensure a smooth path to victory (and some extra Premier Balls for encounter reward) should take the time to power up their counter roster with TMs, Stardust, and Candy before spending any Raid Passes on the battle.
Mega Banette Weaknesses
This Mega Raid Boss is a Ghost-type, which means that Mega Banette is weak to Dark- and Ghost-type moves in the mobile AR game.

Players who are unfamiliar with Mega Raids should take note that a successful battle does not provide an encounter reward with a Mega Pokemon. Instead, players earn an encounter reward with the regular version (Banette, in this case) and some Mega Energy that can be used to temporarily trigger a Mega Evolution at a later point in time.
