When it comes to squaring off against a Legendary dual-type like Kyurem, players are going to need to stick to a careful strategy to take advantage of every weakness and avoid a super long list of resistances. Kyurem’s particular weaknesses have popped up in the PoGO metagame quite a few times recently, so some players should have at least a few of the optimal counters already equipped with the right move sets and powered up for the fight.

Kyurem is a Legendary Dragon- and Ice-type Pokemon. That means that Pokemon GO players are going to want to bust out their strongest Dragon-, Fairy-, Fighting-, Rock-, and Steel-types for these Raids. There are a handful of resistances that players will want to avoid as well if they hope to conserve Potions and Revives and really maximize their damage output during this challenging battle.
Kyurem Weaknesses
As a Dragon- and Ice-type Pokemon, Kyurem is weak to Dragon-, Fairy-, Fighting-, Rock-, and Steel-types moves.
Kyurem Resistances (Avoid These!)
Kyurem is resistant to Electric-, Grass-, and Water-type moves.

Trainers should keep in mind that it’s not the end of the world if a player can’t assemble the perfect counter roster based on these suggestions. The most important thing is to enter the battle with enough friends (at least three or four mid- to high-level players) and to focus on using Pokemon that take advantage of the boss’ weaknesses. Raiders should have a decent amount of Dragon-, Fairy-, or Rock-types Pokemon powered up, so that’s a good place to start. Don’t hesitate to burn through some Stardust, Rare Candy, and TMs in order to properly prepare for the big fight.
