Porygon is a fan-favorite and has been a little difficult to catch in mass quantities in Pokemon GO so far. Thanks to its new inclusion as a level three Battle Raid boss, players should have the chance to defeat and attempt to capture it very frequently now. Players with the right lineup can even take down the boss solo.

Going up against any Battle Raid boss solo is always a calculated risk, but high level players with the right squad should be able to deal enough damage in time. For Porygon, it’s all about bringing a team of fighters to the table.

Porygon’s stats are the weakest on the list of Tier 3 Battle Raid bosses, so it shouldn’t give players too much trouble. The only thing that Porygon is weak against is Fighting-types, so head into this battle the same way you would a Tyranitar fight.

We recommend starting with an army of strong Machamps. Once those are exhausted, any other Fighting-type Pokemon is a good choice. Players who are lucky enough to have a Mewtwo can put the ultra rare creature to work for this battle.

Good luck out there, trainers!
