This means that players will need to find themselves a Phantump or a friend who is willing to trade them one, not to mention a health supply of candy. It’s definitely worth the effort though, as the Elder Tree Pokemon can really pack a punch and will likely come in handy in a variety of situations.
Where to Find Phantump in Pokemon GO
Phantump was introduced to Pokemon GO alongside Pumpkaboo in October 2021 as part of the game’s special Halloween Mischief event. Since the update went live, players have been able to obtain Phantump by catching it in the wild, defeating it in tier 1 raid battles, or hatching it from 7km eggs. Those hoping to evolve their Phantump without trading will need to get their hands on quite a few of them, however, as they’re going to need a healthy supply of candy.
How to Evolve Phantump in Pokemon GO
There are two ways to evolve a Phantump into a Trevenant in Pokemon GO. The first and simplest of these methods simply requires the Pokemon to be traded from one trainer to another, albeit at the expense of a somewhat sizable chunk of Stardust from both parties. Alternatively, players can evolve Phantump using candy, though most will likely opt to evolve the Pokemon by trading it with a friend instead just to avoid the ridiculously high 200 candy cost.
Trevenant’s Stats in Pokemon GO
As mentioned above, Trevenant is one of the best PvP Pokemon in Pokemon GO due to its Ghost and Grass typing. Though this does mean that it’s vulnerable to a lot of different attack types, being a ghost/grass-type Pokemon means that Trevenant has the edge over other prominent Great League Pokemon like Medicham, Azumaril, and Skarmory. Its stats also make it an ideal charger, though it’s equally good as a lead or closer.
