Most shiny pokemon are found by chance during encounters in the wild, but some are only available through Battle Raids or other special circumstances. To keep track of all of the Pokemon GO shiny monsters who have been released so far, the Reddit community has put together a helpful infographic displaying all of the vital intel. Now that we’ve had another Community Day and the big Johto event is underway, there are some exciting additions to the available shinies in the game.
Here’s a look at the resource…
The most noteworthy and recent additions to the list are the three new shinies introduced during the Johto Festical: Pineco, Natu, and Sunkern. These three currently have increased spawn rates until the Gen 2 event ends, so be sure to get out there and try to find them while the odds are slightly more in your favor.
It’s also worth noting that some players reported catching shiny Wingull this morning, but this seems to have been a mistake by the developer. The plan was to release shiny Wingull on August 29 and Niantic may have already removed the current shiny version if it was released by mistake. The developer hasn’t confirmed or denied what is going on with Wingull at this point, so check back for updates in the next few days.
Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
