To note, the Anniversary Event 2022 celebrates six years of PoGO. This is made quite clear by the Field Research tasks, which all instruct players to do a certain activity six times. Fortunately, that is a very manageable number, though some fans may have concerns about what the Anniversary Event Field Research will be like 10 years down the road if developer Niantic chooses to stick with this gimmick.

Pokemon GO: Anniversary Event 2022 Field Research Tasks & Rewards
As players that peruse this list are sure to notice, the Pokemon that can be encountered by completing PoGO’s Anniversary Event 2022 Field Research tasks are all starters from the first seven generations of Pokemon. Aside from the Gen 6 and Gen 7 starters, all these Pokemon have the chance to be Shiny, though the rate at which Shinies appear is very low. As such, fans that do encounter a Shiny Pokemon while working on these tasks should consider themselves quite lucky.
With respect to the tasks, they are all fairly simple to complete. In fact, the one that requires Pokemon GO players to send Gifts with Stickers is the only task that is likely to cause any amount of trouble. Indeed, fans will need to have in-game friends in order to tackle this task, and that is not a situation that every Trainer will find themselves in. If a player does need friends to send Gifts to, they may want to look to Pokemon communities on Reddit for assistance.
