Sinnoh Stones are a pretty precious resource at this point and many Pokemon GO trainers are still trying to collect as many as possible for current or future Gen 4 evolutions. The items aren’t as easy to collect as some of the others in the game, so the chance to earn up to 10 is a big deal and should provide major motivation to log on and make Trainer and Team Leader Battles a new part of the Community Day tradition.
Take careful note that the in-game news notification mentions earning “up top ten” Sinnoh Stones. Based on past wording, this means that players shouldn’t expect to walk away from the event with a guaranteed 10 Stones. Niantic even took to Twitter to clarify the wording…
That said, it is still a very exciting opportunity and some Sinnoh Stones are better than none. We highly recommend trainers take advantage of the bonus and try to earn as many of the items as possible this weekend. Some fans on Reddit and Twitter still seem pretty upset about Niantic’s unclear language, but for now we’ll have to wait and see how the rewards shake out.
Be sure to check back for more Pokemon GO news, updates, and strategy guides in the coming days. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
