Reddit user Maximum-Shrimping recently shared several Pokemon fusions which have garnered the interest of many members of the Pokemon community. The fusions cover a wide variety of Pokemon generations, showing the full potential of what would be possible if Nintendo made an official Pokemon fusion game. In addition to the aforementioned Pokemon, the fusions include Arbok, Bergmite, Cyndaquil, Marshadow, Metapod, and Nosepass which combine with a duo to create a brand-new Pokemon.

Maximum-Shrimping’s most fitting Pokemon fusion shows Metapod and Nosepass coming together to create a strange looking Pokemon with the large nose, holes, eyes, color, and thickness of Nosepass forming the overall shape of Metapod. One of the more unique Pokemon fusions depicts the massive Pokemon Wailord mixed with Mareep to give it two black and yellow ears and a long mane of cottony hair that hides part of its fins as it curls from the Pokemon’s head to a Mareep-like tail. Ralts and Frosmoth’s fusion is primarily inspired by the moth Pokemon as its large wings and body remain mostly unchanged, but the head of the fusion is almost entirely Ralts with the moth antennas sticking out of it.

The combination of Cyndaquil and Bergmite in Maximum-Shrimping’s Pokemon fusion fan art has contrasting typing as the Fire-type clashes with the Ice-type, but the aesthetic is complementary to the Pokemon Gold and Silver starter Pokemon because it’s similar to the original design beyond being entombed in ice. Arbok and Marshadow fuse together to create a dark and spectral snake that has a changed pattern below its piercing red eyes, a tuft of curly hair, and is translucent on the bottom. The fusion of Nidoran and Celebi shows an ideal combination of the two Pokemon as the color scheme and hair are mostly inspired by Celebi, while its form more closely resembles Nidoran beyond some small wings.

Other members of the Pokemon community have already hailed Maximum-Shrimping’s previous Pokemon fusions and that’s no different with these creations. While some Pokemon fans have their favorites among their designs, each of the fusions has been praised due to Maximum-Shrimping’s perfect mixing of appearances. Although newer Pokemon titles include regional variants since the release of Pokemon Sun and Moon, it’s unlikely that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will feature Pokemon like Maximum-Shrimping’s fusions, but many Pokemon fans still anticipate a Pokemon game that centers on fusing.
