Arcanine is a classic Fire-type Pokemon from the franchise’s original generation of creatures, resembling a giant flaming canine. It’s the Pokemon’s final evolution, which trainers can get by exposing a Growlithe to a Fire Stone. Both Growlithe and Arcanine are available in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, two of only a handful of Gen 1 Pokemon that are available in the new games.

Posted onto one of the main Pokemon forums on social media site Reddit, user u/Lindelle shows off their diverse collection of Arcanine merchandise. The Pokemon fan boasts an impressive assembly of different products across multiple shelves. The primary collectibles appear to be plushes in varying styles, including a pair of Eevees in Arcanine costumes. Upon a closer look, some more unusual items can be seen, including things like Arcanine pens, an Arcanine mini snowboard, dog tags, badges, keychains, and even an Arcanine collector marble case. The entire collection’s bright coloring pops against the fan’s dark brown wall.
Plenty of other Pokemon fans seem to appreciate the eclectic collection, with the post garnering dozens of upvotes within just hours of posting. One thing fans in the comments noticed was a lack of any Arcanine trading cards, which the collection owner has apparently avoided in fear of it becoming a “slippery slope.” It’s somewhat of an inverse case for another Arcanine fan, who made an impressive Arcanine carving for their Pokemon card collection on a wooden storage box.
While some fans create Arcanine artwork or collect Arcanine merchandise, another fan has taken his love for the Pokemon to the next level. A professional dog grooming artist made headlines last year when they transformed their dog to look like an Arcanine. The artist posted a viral video to TikTok showing their pet running around a park with the intense look, which seemed to garner praise and admiration from anyone who saw it.
The Arcanine collection is indicative of an ongoing trend on Reddit at the moment of fans showing off their Pokemon collections, with another fan recently displaying their robust Shuckle collection. With Pokemon being so collecting-centric of a franchise, fans can likely expect plenty of similar posts in the near future.
