This year has already been great for Pokemon fans, especially those that enjoy the video games and anime, due to the releases of Pokemon Legends: Arceus, which came out in January, as well as new episodes of Pokemon Master Journeys: The Series. A short anime series, Pokemon: Hisuian Snow, which is produced by WIT STUDIO, is coming out on May 18, and Gen 9 games, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, are also arriving later in 2022. While fans wait for the upcoming titles, they have also given each other a lot to enjoy through their own fan-made work, such as the hilarious animation that Reddit user, elanchan, posted.

In the animation that elanchan worked on, Leafeon sneaks over to Flareon, who is sleeping. Leafeon repeatedly pokes Flareon with its foot, waking the Fire-type Pokemon up, who gets very angry. Flareon jumps up, ready to attack Leafeon. However, before it can, Eevee’s Grass-type evolution extends its arm, catching Flareon and stopping the attack. The animation ends with Leafeon throwing Flareon far away and walking off in the opposite direction.

Those that commented mentioned how much they liked the animation, especially Leafeon’s role in it and the mannerisms that elanchan gave to the Grass-type, such as making it wink with one eye after the other rather than blinking. When asked, elanchan revealed that they made the animation with Toon Boom, an animation software, and Resolve, an editing program. Some Reddit users also asked elanchan to make an animation of a large Pikachu.

Outside of this animation, elanchan has posted many others on both Reddit and their YouTube channel, UWU Cartoons, for those that may want to see more of their work. They have made an animation of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s upcoming starter Pokemon, Sprigatito, the Grass-type cat, Fuecoco, the Fire-type crocodile, and Quaxly, the Water-type duck, welcoming them to the franchise. They also uploaded videos of how to draw Eevee and its evolutions, including Leafeon and Flareon.
