With this in mind, Squirtle is one of the more famous Pokemon in the franchise and is recognizable to most fans. This pocket monster looks similar to a turtle, sporting a brown shell and a blue body, and as a Water-type, it has several moves based around water. Recently, this inspired one Pokemon fan to take Squirtle’s aquatic theme and give it a real-world purpose.

In a video posted to Reddit, a user known as velvettoolbox revealed a unique creation they had 3D printed based on Squirtle from the Pokemon series. While numerous gamers regularly post their fan art to the Pokemon subreddit, this design stood out because it had a real-world function. Specifically, the Reddit user had made a watering can that looked like the Water-type Pokemon.
The short clip shared by velvettoolbox showed someone using the Squirtle watering can to take care of some outdoor plants. The person holding the watering can tilted it forward, causing water to come out of the holes placed where the Pokemon’s mouth was. In addition to being functional, the design was impressive. The front of the object featured the blue head and brown eyes of the Pokemon, while the middle was made to look like the creature’s shell. In addition, a hole could be seen at the top of the shell, allowing users to fill it with water for watering flowers and other plants. Finally, the Reddit user designed the handle of the watering can to look like Squirtle’s tail.
Unsurprisingly, this Squirtle watering can that was created by velvettoolbox has become quite the hit with the Pokemon community on Reddit. It has become so popular that over 2.5K users have already upvoted the design before the post even reached a day old. In addition to praising the look of the Squirtle watering can, other gamers were quick to suggest other Pokemon and items to try next, such as a Sprayduck and Wailmer.
While this Squirtle watering can is unique, it is not the only fan art featuring the Pokemon that has been shown off on the internet. Despite not being designed specifically for tending a garden, many other pieces of artwork are also notable. For instance, Squirtle received a TMNT makeover when one fan created a magnet that blended the two together. Time will tell what creations featuring this popular Pokemon appear next on the internet.
