A Fire-type hailing from the very first generation of Pokemon, Arcanine is a dog pokemon who’s first game appearance was as Gym Leader Blaine’s main Pokemon in Pokemon Red and Blue. A fan-favorite to many, Arcanine is considered one of the 10 best dog Pokemon of all-time.

Posted onto social media platform TikTok, a dog grooming artist by the name of Gabriel Feitosa is getting major traffic for his video showcasing his poodle, Edea, cut, colored, and brushed into an Arcanine. The result is an adorably accurate depiction, with the Pokemon’s signature coloring on full display. The roughly 30-second video shows the dog running happily around a park, interacting with other dogs and humans. While much smaller than the mount-sized version of Arcanine in Pokemon Let’s Go, the video ends with the groomer picking up the dog, jokingly claiming to not realize how heavy the “Pokemon” was.
The post is clearly a big hit with Pokemon fans, getting nearly a million views and hundreds of thousands of likes within a few days of posting. Many fans joked in the comments that the Arcanine-ified dog was taught Extreme Speed, and are asking to see a video featuring Fire Blast next. This actually isn’t the first case of a Pokemon fan transforming their dog into an Arcanine, albeit being done in a much different manner. Another Pokemon fan got their dog tattooed as an Arcanine, creating a version of the Pokemon with a darker complexion.
Of course, not all Pokemon fan’s dogs are conducive to their passion. Controversial YouTube star Logan Paul revealed that his dog decided a $25,000 Pokemon card was a snack. On an episode of his Impaulsive podcast, the YouTuber revealed he is down the massive amount of cash after his dog nearly ate a rare PSA 9 Charizard card. While the card is technically still in his possession, the damage assumedly has caused it to lose virtually all of its value. It’s no wonder Paul has kept his other rare Charizard Pokemon card safe within his famously expensive necklace.
