While some fans tend to create their own Pokemon, others use their imagination in recreating the existing ones with a couple of adjustments. A Pokemon fan shares an interesting redesign featuring one of the most popular Pokemon, Sylveon.

Redditor shunixe has managed to recreate the popular Pokemon and turn it into Mecha Sylveon. Sylveon is a mammalian Pokemon, recognizable by its pale pink-colored design and its ability to read the feelings of other Pokemon and trainers. It debuted as a Generation 6 Pokemon that can evolve from the fan-favorite Eevee. The community fell in love with the attempt to create a mecha version of Sylveon and the post has already gathered over 1.5k upvotes. The creator of the concept is known in the community for making similar redesigns to already existing Pokemon.
Multiple replies in the comment section claim to have never expected that recreating Sylveon in such a mecha-inspired approach would result in a beautiful concept, and they already gave it the nickname Cybermon. The introduction of a new Pokemon type had a great impact on the existing Pokemon as 22 of them as well as three moves were changed to Fairy-type. This Pokemon type has the highest Special Defense out of all the types, and it’s completely immune to Dragon-type damage, but they have the lowest physical Attack on average.
The two main weaknesses for Fairy-type Pokemon are Poison and Steel, but luckily they are able to learn Psychic-type moves which counter Poison. One of the main reasons why this unique Pokemon type was added to the franchise was to counter the overpowered Dragon-type pseudo legendaries such as Hydreigon and Dragonite. Before Generation 6, Dragon-type Pokemon dominated the meta, having too few weaknesses and a powerful kit. Even though they are certainly fun to use, seeing the same creatures over and over again can become boring.
Knowing that the Fairy-type is strong against dragons is certainly useful knowledge and it also makes sense on a narrative level. In the majority of fairy tales, dragons are typically defeated by using some form of magic, which is represented by the Fairy-type in the franchise. There is a chance that upcoming Pokemon Scarlet and Violet could introduce a Pokemon with a Dragon/Fairy type combination considering that’s it has been discussed and requested by fans since the Fairy type arrived to the franchise.
