Reshiram was the box legendary for Pokemon Black. It is a part of the Tao Trio alongside Zekrom and Kyurem, and can become White Kyurem by using the DNA Splicers. The Pokemon has the ability Turboblaze and can learn Blue Flare, a move that only it can obtain. One fan of the RPG series has created their own version of Reshiram, giving it a unique makeover.

A Redditor known as shunixe shared a mecha version of Reshiram that they created. This rendition of Reshiram keeps many of the aspects that can be seen on the Pokemon in the games and anime, including the long tail with an area at its base that resembles a generator and a head with two streams coming off of it. Some design changes were made in order to make the legendary more machine-like, such as its wings being replaced with robotic arms that feature black spikes coming off of the top ends. A lot of black was added to the Pokemon’s color palette, which helps create the mecha theme. Shunixe’s take on Reshiram is interesting and is a new way to look at an older Pokemon.

Shunixe’s artwork has earned a number of fans, with the post currently sitting at over 2,000 upvotes. One user stated that the artwork is sick and questioned whether the mech version of the Pokemon would be Steel/Fire or Dragon/Steel. The artwork received a few comparisons to Yu-Gi-Oh monsters, including Borreload Savage Dragon.

Reshiram is not the only pocket monster that shunixe has given the mecha treatment. The artist has also made the Pokemon Sylveon into a mech, once again keeping aspects of the creature while also adding a few changes. Shunixe kept the ribbons that flow off of Sylveon, as well as the bows on its ear and neck. The Pokemon’s white body was altered, with the mech version of the Fairy-Type now having pink plating covering its torso. Just like Reshiram, Sylveon was given black accents all over, helping hammer in the mecha concept. Both pocket monsters were given awesome makeovers that helped keep expected features while also adding new ideas that make the artwork unique.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will release on November 18 for the Nintendo Switch.
