In case you’re too young to remember them, Tamagotchi toys were very popular in the late 90s. The handheld devices featured little digital pets that owners had to feed and walk by interacting with the device. The brand is still alive-and-well apparently and Serebii’s sources suggest an Eevee product is on the way thanks to a team up with Pokemon.

This is definitely still firmly in rumor territory since neither The Pokemon Company or Tamagotchi has confirmed the product, but the device doesn’t seem like it would be a huge surprise and the partnership makes sense. A bigger question may be whether or not the product, if it releases, will make its way to the western market.
