While some of these events are short-term, others last for a longer time and regularly refresh their offerings to keep fans visiting. The Pokemon Cafe in Japan is now offering a reworked menu, featuring new treats based off of series classics Pikachu and Snorlax.

The new meals are adorable to look at and sound as good as they look. Players who are interested and in the area can look forward to trying out a Pokemon Cafe Kids plate that comes with a hamburger with Pikachu’s face emblazoned on the bun and its ears peeking out at the top. The official description also teases multiple hidden Pikachus throughout the dish; a close examination reveals Pikachu-shaped pasta, among others. Adults stopping by can try out the Pikachu tail sandwich plate, which tasks the customer with assembling it themselves, or the Snorlax Tosenbo Pancake, which comes complete with chocolate sauce.

All three of the Pokemon dishes can be purchased for under $20 USD, with the Kids’ Pikachu burger costing $8.83, the sandwich $14.24, and the pancake for $16.04, based on currency conversion at the time of writing. Tax is included in the cost, and tipping isn’t the norm in Japan, so that may help to alleviate the cost of the more expensive items. Fans who want to bring something home for their kids (or themselves) can also pick up the Pokeball meal plate that the kids’ meal is served in, complete with tableware, a cute mug, and Pikachu decorations $31.54.

Pokemon is a seemingly endless powerhouse of both video games and pop culture, and the Pokemon Cafe offers two locations for fans, located in Nihonbashi, Tokyo and Shinsaibashi, Osaka. While the cafes aren’t likely to close anytime soon, fans who are interested in these meals in particular should plan on going soon, as limited time menus and engagements are the norm and these meals won’t be around forever.

With Pokemon Scarlet and Violet on the horizon, chances are something special will be offered up for them closer to the release date. With fans still debating which food Fuecoco is based off of, it’ll be interesting to see what kinds of inspiration Pokemon Cafes take from the series going forward.
