This of course includes the franchise’s mascot, Pikachu, but also goes on to represent Eevee, the three Kanto starter Pokemon, and even Mew. Each of these Pokemon are featured on a pair of boxer shorts for men, with different designs on the front and back of each pair.

The Pokemon merch is well made and comes in medium, large, and extra large sizes. Hipshop further explains that they are best suited for waist sizes 29 inches to 49 inches depending on which size is purchased. This means that, despite the absence of a small size, they are likely to fit most people well.

Shown above are the designs of the back sides of the boxers, which show a close up portrait of the Pokemon in question. Fans will likely notice very quickly that the Japanese names are used for all Pokemon pictured, with the exception of Pikachu and Mew, whose Japanese names are very similar to their localized ones. For those that would like to avoid the Japanese names, Pikachu and Mew are good choices, but those that enjoy that extra bit of culture should consider buying the Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Charmander, or Eevee boxers instead.

The fronts of these boxers are a bit more interesting. Each one shows the Pokemon in one of its iconic stances, but also features its Pokedex number, type, height, and weight. The way type is represented is somewhat interesting, as there is a different symbol for each type. The circled symbol represents that Pokemon’s type, but the others being there could hint at a future expansion of the line. That’s just speculation, and it is more likely than not just a design choice, though.

Having different designs on the front and the back was probably a good decision, as there aren’t many that would want a Pokemon’s zoomed in face plastered across their crotch. Either way, each of these boxers are currently on sale for 2500 Yen, or $23.51, and can be purchased at the Hipshop website. As this is a Japanese store, tax is already included in the sales price. It’s unclear how long this sale will last, so potential buyers should make their move sooner rather than later.
