According to Serebii, the boxes confirm that both games will have DSi-exclusive features — similar to the original Pokemon Black and White games. It’s then easy to assume that the video chat feature will return, but that’s just our speculation at this point. If you remember, players could video chat with one others using WiFi, and up to four people with the game could video chat for local play. Why anyone would video chat with someone they’re sitting next to we never really understood, it’s a feature that’s there…

Whether or not Black 2 and White 2 will have additional unannounced features is unknown at this point, but it seems likely that Game Freak may want to add a few other DSi enhancements for kicks. Making the games DSi Enhanced is great, but quite a few people would have preferred the games be 3DS Enhanced — it also could have been a great way to deal with the recent criticisms that Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 have been receiving. That however, is still a possibility.

Expect more details on these upcoming Pokemon games sooner rather than later, especially with the titles’ Fall release quickly approaching. In the meantime, make sure you keep coming to Game Rant for more news on Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2.
