Pokemon GO Fest 2019 is a four-day event that runs June 13 - June 16 in the height of the Pokemon GO summer of events. The event is sure to sell out quickly, but this time around Niantic has a different plan for distributing tickets. Pokemon Trainers have been celebrating the new year in Pokemon GO by honoring the 25th Anniversary of Pokemon through various in-game events and special promotions. Multiple players on Reddit from around the world have shared screenshots that suggest they encountered shiny copies of Lapras starting this morning. At this point, Niantic hasn’t issued any kind of tweet confirming the release of shiny Lapras worldwide, but players around the globe are out trying to get one of the big purple monsters for themselves. Lapras is a very popular Pokemon and in the month’s shortly after Pokemon GO’s release it was one of the most sought after creatures....

According to an event alert sent out by the world-famous coffee chain, Starbucks, the best place for Pokemon GO players to capture Gen 3 characters is in Starbucks locations. The coffee company explains that between 3-6PM every day from October 20 until November 2, participating locations will be hosting a ‘Lure-A-Thon’. This lure-a-thon offers an “increased chance to catch newly added spooky Pokemon”. It’s currently unclear whether the Starbucks lures will be luring any and all Pokemon in the vicinity to its locations or whether the coffee company’s lures have special, Gen 3-specific powers....
