For the second anniversary of Pokemon GO’s launch, Niantic will be releasing a brand new variation of Pikachu. Called Summer Style Pikachu, this new version of the character dons an adorable straw hat and a pair of very cool sunglasses. For January and February, players were rewarded from a pool of Pokemon that included the three legendary birds (Zapdos, Moltres, and Articuno) and the three legendary dogs (Raikou, Entei, and Suicune). Fan art from another user was included with several points illustrating the thought process of making a larger Grass-type cat that’s inspired by bandits from the region Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is based on, the Spain and Portugal portion of the Mediterranean. According to Bunnybiene, bandits are a common theme in Spain, and part of Sprigatito’s design may hint that its evolutions are inspired by the dastardly type of character....

Reddit user Stefiman2 posted a video yesterday in which they show off their Poke Ball lampshade creation, spinning it in circles to show a fully closed Poke Ball before pulling on a string to open it. Upon its unraveling, the function of this Poke Ball as a lampshade becomes more clear as light can easily pour through the gaps of varying sizes created by pulling on the aforementioned string.
