Although the level four and five Pokemon GO Battle Raids obviously have the most exciting rewards, there are still some good Pokemon to catch from the lower Battle Raids and the added bonus of potentially taking down the bosses solo. The current availability of Crawdaunt provides a great solo option for players who are willing to do just a big of homework and prep for the big fight. Crawdaunt’s solo difficulty is a little more challenge than a boss like Sharpedo, but it’s still very doable....

Thanks to shiny appearances in previous games, players are able to predict with pretty confident certainty what each of the Pokemon GO Eevee evolutions will look like when shiny. As usual, the community has already come up with a helpful visual guide to show all of the possibilities. Although Swinub isn’t necessarily the most popular Pokemon, its evolutions are useful for certain Battle Raid matchups and the February event is likely to be a popular one. As usual, the Community Day event will likely also coincide with a major increase in shiny sightings for the featured creature. When the games were revealed as part of the 25th anniversary Pokemon Presents livestream in February, it was clear Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are sticking to their roots. While Game Freak is hard at work on Pokemon Legends: Arceus, a unique open-world game set in the far past, Japanese studio ILCA is handling the more traditional remakes. Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl have a toy-like aesthetic similar to 2019’s The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, and they appear to emulate their predecessors more than prior remakes like Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire....

Another great way to find Shiny Pokemon in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl is by exploring the Grand Underground and finding Digletts and Dugtrios in the tunnels. Collecting the purple essence they leave behind is key to this method, as reaching a total of 40 activates the Diglett Rush event, during which players have an increased chance of finding Colored Statues while excavating and Shiny Pokemon exploring the caves....

Last week’s showcase also focused on some of the Sinnoh region’s returning characters, such as Oreburgh City Gym Leader Roark and the new look of the arena in which he’s fought. Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are billed as more “faithful” remakes, being created by Pokemon Home developer ILCA rather than Game Freak proper, but there are clearly plenty of changes made to the originals. As such, the developer should offer more character-building moments for Diamond and Pearl’s cast akin to previous remakes, and a great place to start would be with the friendship between Volkner and Flint....

Pokemon’s debut entries on the Nintendo DS (disregarding gimmicky spin-offs like Pokemon Dash) are beloved by many and considerably changed the course of the series. Diamond and Pearl introduced a split between physical and special attacks that made battles more dynamic, and they set a high standard for polish and fine details. For example, select Pokemon could walk behind their trainers in Amity Square before the feature was fully realized in HeartGold and SoulSilver, and players could utilize the touch screen for everything from marking a map to making Poffins, or even shining their badges....

Artists also like drawing Pokemon in the style of other video game franchises, as well as portraying characters from other games as pocket monsters. This isn’t the first time Pokemon fans have redrawn iconic locations from the games, but it may be one of the most detailed. Pewter City is a town located in the Kanto region of the Pokemon world, and it can be visited in the Gen 1 and Gen 2 games and their remakes. The Gym Leader is Brock, who specializes in Rock-type Pokemon and hands out the Boulder Badge to those who defeat him....

Bandai has announced pre-orders for a new human-sized Pokemon onesie-chair hybrid designed to resemble the Cocoon Pokemon, Metapod. Yet, in just about every generation like Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the Fire Starter does prove to be pretty popular. There was one major issue for a few generations, but otherwise, several Fire Starters have a special place in many trainers’ hearts. It’s hard to say that any one of them is definitively the best, but their design and typing often play a major role. Stats, at least here, will serve a tertiary role....
